Lark's is an upscale establishment catering to the wealthy of Ishgard. The establishment is owned and upkept by a Baron under House Dzemael. Lark's is unique among Ishgardian gentlemen's clubs in that it does not require a preexisting membership but is open to any man who is willing to pay for a drink. The steep prices are the only barrier to entry, so clientele often remains on the high end.

Lark's is heavily inspired by the historical gentlemen's club from the Bridgerton series, White's.

    Rules

    1. Lark's is based on Georgian-era gentlemen's clubs, not to be confused with the contemporary definition of "gentlemen's club," Lark's does not offer NSFW roleplay in any form. Do not make excessive jokes or allusions to "expecting the other kind of gentlemen's club" as it negatively impacts the atmosphere.2. To remain in line with this, all clientele at Lark's must be male or male-adjacent genders (ie. binary trans men, masculine nonbinary folk, etc). Anyone who identifies as a 'gentleman' is welcome. If you are unsure, feel free to DM the owner Florin Colombe @ Maduin for clarification.3. In line with Rule 1, the venue's rating should be kept PG-13 / T regarding content. Boisterous, flirtatious, or "adult" content may be present but should be kept reasonable.4. Lark's is not by nature a "gay bar" but is LGBTQ+ friendly. We do not tolerate bigotry or discriminatory behavior. If clientele say they are a man or male identifying, that is not for any other clientele to question.5. Any and all staff will be marked with the green LOOKING FOR PARTY icon. Most nights, it will only be Florin on staff, as this is not a "roleplay customer service" venue but a social club. Feel free to control NPC bartenders as there will not be a live bartender on staff most nights.

    6. All gil is completely in character, but tips are appreciated and will go directly to any staff working that night. No items will be exchanged.7. Fighting is not permitted on Lark's premises. All physical fights should be taken outside.8. Smoking is permitted at Lark's, but should be limited to cigars and cigarettes. Other substances are strictly prohibited.9. Discussion of in-game politics and events is allowed and encouraged, however, avoid being inflammatory towards the other patrons. Lark's draws crowds from all walks of life and this should be considered when engaging in political conversations. Targeted antagonism without prior consent from the player(s) involved is not permitted.10. We are a SyncShell friendly venue. Please click here for more information.

    Venue

Lark's Club provides adequate seating for groups of up to three at tables, in addition to couches and other seating arrangements. A stocked bar is staffed by NPCs at all times. The lights are kept low and ambient for atmosphere and privacy.
Seating is dense to promote conversation and connections. Lark's is an excellent place to meet new people.

    Owner

    Lord Florin de Colombe

The heir to his father's title as Baron, Florin has taken over the day to day function of Lark's. He oversees operations practically every opening day. Florin is quiet and introverted. This can be changed with good conversation, especially about gambling.

** Please note: There may be occasions when other character(s) are serving as the 'life staff' at the event, and Florin is absent. These are usually my alts! They will be marked with 'looking for party,' and be doing the /shout announcements through the evening.

    NPC Staff

Feel free to control either barkeeper at your leisure!

    Bourdin

A young Hyur native to Ishgard, he has been in Foundation all of his life. His parents are both tutors who work for noble families, and he wound up working at Lark's at the recommendation of one of Florin's acquaintences.

    Courtillier

Originally from Gridania, Courtillier moved north shortly after the end of the Dragonsong War. He was a bartender in Gridania and found himself filling the same role in Ishgard, once he settled in.

    Gambling

    Chocobo Racing
    1+ Player.
Staff can provide a list of 6 racing chocobos and their odds to win by request.
The winner of the race (run via a horse racing simulation) will be announced 30 minutes prior to closing.
    Ishgardian Ten
    2+ Players.
Players take turns rolling "/random 6" two times.
    Whoever rolls a 10 wins.
The game continues until a player rolls a 10.
In the event of multiple players in a single round rolling 10s, those players will continue playing against one another until only one player per round rolls a 10.
    Hingan Odds
    3+ Players.
One player is designated as the roller.
Each player bets if the outcome will be even or odd.
The roller will roll "/random 6" twice. The two rolls will then be added together.
Winners are determined by who selected the correct outcome: even or odd.
The roller cannot bet on the roll they are rolling. However, the roller can be changed after every round.
    Devil's Dice
    2+ Players.
The first player begins by rolling a "/random 999".
The next player must roll roll "/random [Player 1's roll]."
This continues on in order of all players. The first to roll a 1 loses and is out.
The game continues until all but one player is out.
    Example: Player 1 rolls "/random 999" and rolls 856. Player 2 rolls "/random 856" and rolls a 502. Player 3 rolls "/random 502" and rolls a 485. Repeat until a player rolls 1.
